Call them. They should be fine with that. There is public lot 2 blocks south on the same side of the street. Or, get lucky and find a spot right in front.
I don't think so.
They do not
Great fresh seafood and nice outdoor seating area
Don’t order the lobster Mac and cheese. It’s $25 and the lobster tastes funny
Love this place! Came for breakfast and their Quiche of the day was absolutely delicious! The crust was golden and buttery. Hubby had the awful burrito and it was very good also. Wait staff are friendly and fast. Definitely recommend!
We loved this place so much we went twice in a weekend. I was hesitant at first bc I thought the ambiance didn’t look inviting in the pictures that were online, but I was dead wrong. It’s adorable! It reminded me of a little place in New England and the seafood!!!... the seafood was ah-mazing! Best blackened tuna I’ve ever had. The broiled oysters were devine and I have no words for the lobster Rueben. Plus it was ridiculously cheap for seafood in a tourist town. We had 1 lb of crawfish for $12! It was a little cool outside so we sat by a fire inside and the second time went, we sat outside by a fire pit. Service was delightful as well. I wish this place was closer bc I alone would keep them in business!
Beat clams I've ever had. The lobster roll was good as well. Friends had the lobster bisque and penne pasta. The bisque was loaded with lobster meat.
Very nice, excellent service, good food!
When it comes to customer service, the name "Awful Arthur's" is pretty suitable. My friends and I have been here twice in the past few months and have noticed that the staff is very aloof and disrespectful to younger customers. We came back again today (the second time) to give them another chance because the food is pretty good. My friends I are in our early 20s and were waited on and served last despite being there before 3 older parties and couples. The waiters hardly paid any attention to us and we had to wait 15 minutes to even get our menus. The only reason I'm giving this restaurant any stars at all is because of the quality of food for the price. Will not be returning. If you're between the ages of 18-25, absolutely DO NOT come here if you want to be treated as a respected customer.
This past Saturday afternoon we had a group of 10 and Debbie seated us with only 1/2 hour notice in a great side room overlooking their patio! Food and service was exceptional, including awesome hot lobster butter rolls, amazing fish tacos and savory mussels! They have a seafood sampler that is one of the best I have ever had...pleanty to share with 4 people...drinks were expertly made by Harrison including my favorite Manhattan that was poured so full and delivered without spilling a drop! Way to go Arthur and Heather for providing such a memorable afternoon for my friends who all want to head back over again on the boat asap!!
The Lobster Rueben is killer, personal favorite. The service is wonderful, the multiple times we have dined here. Prefer eating on the patio, but the weather (heat) and guests forced us in once, just as accommodating. Always return when we are in town.
Excellent food, lovely garden seating.
Good food, nice service, and fairly reasonable prices. Convenient and the outdoor seating is nice.
A perfect breakfast on a hot summer day in the outside garden. Wonderful crab omelette and crab Benedict, spicy bloody Mary, all perfect. Fans and umbrellas to keep us comfortable. And friendly service Shay
So great! We got the stramed combo sampler and some oysters which were wonderful. Loves the lemon crush. Awesome all around.
The sercive was OK, but it took a long time to get our breakfast (like 45 minutes). Others who sat after us were eating before us and we just ordered omelettes and such. The server kept blaming the kitchen fpr being backed up, but there were only like 15 tables outside.
Oysters were good
Friendly place with really good food. It is far from awful. There were young and old couples and families. I was so comfortable there. Find what you like and you will not be disappointed. Highly recommend.
Very fresh seafood. Entree portion is very large so if you want desert, don't get too many appetizers.
Sat outdoors, friendly waitress, best fried fish ever!
What a enjoyable evening, great atmosphere, fire pits, awesome oysters, lobster bisque was delicious, service was very attentive, drinks were great too, Made reservations to go back tomorrow.
Arthur's has an awesome wait staff and they make a mean martini. The food came out hot and had a fantastic flavor. The outdoor seating area is nice in the summer as it's covered just enough as the tables have umbrellas over them to shield you from the bright sunlight. The presentation and plating of the food was pleasant as well. I'd recommend stopping by and at least giving it a shot.
Chicken sandwich was really good. Good prices on really good food.
Good service and nice outdoor atmosphere. Felt distanced, clean and safe. Food was simple and pretty good.
We went last summer, ate outside and had a great experience. Food was good and service was excellent. Went by yesterday (December 28, 2019) twice. It wasn't that crowded and the hostess was MIA. Waited about 10 minutes the first try and gave up. Swung by on our way out and still no signs of life. We bounced after a couple minutes. Fortunately, there are lots of other attentive restaurants in the area.
The outdoor set up for COVID times was great! It was very hot but each table had it's own fan. We just got a mid-afternoon snack after exploring the museum and they had a great selection of small plates/salads. The staff needs to keep their masks over their noses though.
We visit Awful Arthur's at least once a week. Delicious Bloody Mary! The crab dip is a must! The fire pits are so nice on cold winter afternoons! The whole staff is awesome. Our kids look forward to seeing Deb as we are always treated like family.
Very friendly service, great food. One star deducted because we were interrupted about 365,300 times by the waitress asking how we were doing and (to a lesser extend, because it is a seafood restaurant), not many non seafood alternatives for the people in our party that don't eat seafood or meats.
Outstanding! This is a quaint little spot off of the main street that runs through St Michael's Island. It is within walking distance of 2 wineries, a brewery, a rum distillery, and a myriad of shops. Dining is available inside and outside for those who prefer the fresh air and it is pet friendly. To top it all off, the food and service are excellent.
It was great. Lots of outdoor seating. They have a fresh oyster bar and even someone available to shuck them for you. The food and service were excellent.
Excellent food and great outdoor setup 👍👍
Great breakfast and attentive staff.
We stopped in to get a drink while we we waited for our table at a nearby restaurant. It was so good we decided to stay. Friendly and attentive service. We had oysters and split the Lobster Reuben. I have never heard of a Lobster Reuben before. It was delicious. The staff was very helpful with other local recommendations.
We had crab cake dinners last night and breakfasts this morning. Both were excellent. Crab cakes came with a smoky paste; crunchy, savory corn salsa and fingerling potatoes. We ate in the courtyard with sea shells under foot and cooling fans at the perimeters. Breakfast omelets were large with hash browns and toast. I highly recommend a visit. Well done to all the staff! 🙂
We were looking for a friendly environment to dine with our toddler in tow and that is what we got! The staff was friendly and accommodating. Our drinks came out super fast and the food was pretty good. The courtyard is a lovely space and very pleasant to be in.
Great place. Good oyster selection. Craft beers. Service is very friendly. We have been coming for 5+ years Everytime we come to St Michaels. A must stop!
Enjoyed the selection of oysters and had couple of appetizers. Staff was friendly and attentive.
Terrible and slow service.Awful breakfast food with every one of our meals luke warm and not cooked how we requested.
Description of the Crabcake Dinner:Crab Cake Dinner 25Local Maryland jumbo lumpbroiled with grilled corn salsa, herb roasted potatoes & a tomato & bacon aioli ( additional crab cake 12 )Instead we got a sad looking, tiny crabcake and potatoes as shown in the picture. That's it. For $25.Save your money. Go somewhere else.
What a little jewel! Of course, we had to sit outside, but it was delightfully covered and a nice breeze kept us comfortable. The drinks were terrific and the oysters were so fresh and delicious! But on top of all of that, the staff, working under limiting conditions, were what really made the visit a 5 Star stop. Kind, funny, mutually supportive camaraderie,, and a superb manager running the operation. Top all of that off with it being in one of the most charming towns on the Eastern Shore - historic St Michael's - and I think you will be as satisfied as we were when we finally had to depart. Can't wait to go back!
Not awful at all actually quite delicious. This is false advertising >:(
What a fantastic experience! The outdoor covered patio was beautiful and tables spaced comfortably for COVID safety. We were celebrating a birthday and chef Renee and Stacey made it so special! Lovely drinks, incredible food (especially the scallops, we added a crabcake - even the asparagus and fried prosciutto were perfect!), and the most friendly and warm atmosphere right on the Main Street of St Michael’s. A truly memorable birthday evening! Thank you guys!!
Nice outdoor seating. Great waitstaff. Food marginal, at best.
Great cooled outdoor seating, friendly staff, reasonably priced delicious dinner options.... shrimp & grits were great!
Service was friendly and quick. They were on top of refills, etc. Food was very good. The Maryland crab was different, but I liked it. Fried Oyster Po'boy was more than just reminiscent of one from N'awlins. The fish and chips was delicious and the fresh farm raised oysters were delightful. Will definitely be back.
Good food and dessert. Indoor seating is very limited, but they have a decent size outdoor seating area which is probably great for warmer weather. I ordered mussels, and my waiter brought me clams. I told the waiter that my order was wrong, and I was told by the waiter that clams are black and mussels are white. He's wrong, but I didn't correct him because I was hungry. I ate the dish he brought.
Delicious food, kind waitresses and owner..very nice experience ...New England clam soup was memorable. Well deserving of 5 stars.
Definitely not awful! Place was nice, location was cool. We sat outside in the garden area and had a really nice meal. Blackened tuna salad with berries and walnuts was on point. Crab cake was a decent size with plenty of lump. The red potatoes were outstanding. Overall I'd probably go again
The food truly is awful. Fish and chips is not a safe bet and unfortunately the cut of fish used was of very poor quality. The texture is very fibrous and chewy which isn’t the way it is supposed to be. The fact that it comes in separate pieces rather than one fillet should be a warning sign. The service wasn’t great either. The location however was good.
Just Amazingly Arthur! Wonderful food and service!
Very nice place, good seafood! Awesome crab dip! I had to send the dip back because it was cold but it was midnight madness and they had a full house, the waitress quickly had it heated and returned. I had the crab dip previously on another visit with no problems so i wasnt upset. I had the scallops which were cooked perfectly. Id definitely go back, food was very good.
Fries were cold and tasted like they were left over from lunch. Oyster po’boy was tasty but the roll was stale. Overpriced
